High School Basketball
High school basketball is one of the most entertaining sports to watch, because you get to find out who is the best of the best. There is many rivalries during high school basketball season, but you compete for the title of "state champions". Most of the time people get injured because, the game is very intense and strenuous, so either go hard or go home. If they aren't recruited by college coaches, high school basketball is there last chance to play. Than your chance of playing basketball and making money is over, and its hard to determine what you want you want your occupation to be, because your dream was taken away.
The top girls basketball teams in the city in Public School Athletic League is Murry Bergtraum coached by Ed Grezinsky, John F. Kennedy coached by Glenn O'Neil. Than you have Manhattan Center for Science and Math coached by the top female coach in the city Jaywana Bradley. The top Catholic Girls team is Nazareth Regional High School coached by Apache Paschall. Christ the King our recent "state champions" coached by Bob Mackey defeated Murry Bergtraum the defended state champions. Lastly Saint John the Baptist coached by Ted Oberg.

She attended the "All American" event which is an all star weekend for high school basketball players. She know plays for the University of Virginia. This year a senior named Brea Castro Gambrell is being nominated to become an "All American" because of her outstanding skills and leadership on the basketball court.
If you want to become a basketball player, and receive your education in college than Manhattan Center for Science and Mathematics is the school for you. In the past two years they havent made it to Madison Square Garden where the Public School Athletic Championship is held, but they are determined to make it this year. In 2009 they made it to the quarter final being knocked out by their rivalries John F. Kennedy, and in 2010 they made it a step closer to the semifinals being knocked out by John F. Kennedy again. Every year they make it closer, and this step closer will lead them to Madison Square Garden.
Never give up on your dreams if youre a basketball player, just because you wasnt recruited by a division one college, because some people who play overseis was recruited into the WNBA. If you strive for the best, you will become the best. Never give up on your dreams, because there is still an occupation in life with your name on it.
