College Basketball

College Basketball is one of the most entertaining, and lively sports to watch. Its not just a dream to go play for the top ranked colleges,but its a goal. Recently New York has produced,talented players such as; Kemba Walker and Bria Hartley at UConn. Shane Southwell at Kansas State.Doron Lamb at the University of Kentucky. Darold "Truck" Bryant at West Virginia,and Dytrel Bracey at Western Oklahoma.

Most of the basketball players that has came out of New York, have that "New York Swag." The "New York Swag" which means they are fast on the court, and has the ability to score on any opponent. The perfect example of the "New York Swag" is the nation leading scorer Kemba Walker, who plays for UConn. Walker leads the nation with 25.8 points a game, 3 steals, and 4 assissts. The UConn Huskies is now ranked number 9 in the country.

Geno Auriemma,head coach of the UConn female basketball team, experienced his first loss. The UConn huskies havent loss in 3 years, 998 days,and made history by setting a record of a 90 game win streak. The lady Huskies fell to their rivalries,Stanford on December 30,2010, with a score of Stanford 71 and UConn 59. Maya Moore the nation leading scorer for Women College Basketball, also out of UConn, had a bad game that night. The Lady Huskies, winning six NCAA National championships is ranked number 2 in the country.

The top 10 Men College Basketball teams are Duke, Ohio Sate,Kansas Syracuse, Pittsburgh,San Diego Sate, Villanova, Purdue,Connecticut, and Brigham Young. The top 10 Womean College Basketball Teams are Baylor, Connecticut, Duke, Stanford, Texas A&M, Tennessee, West Virginia, Xavier, and UCLA.The top 10 Women College Basketball teams are Baylor, Connecticut, Duke, Stanford, Texas A&M, West Virginia, Xavier, UCLA, and Michigan State.

The quote symbolizes all the hatred and harsh work basketball players have went through. Sometimes people need to imagine, what others go throught to achieve their dream.
